A reasonable time, judged by how serious it is. There is no single deadline in the general law.
In practice: no heating or hot water in winter, a dangerous electrical fault or a major leak is same day or next day. Something that makes the property uninhabitable is immediate. A dripping tap is weeks rather than hours.
What gets landlords into trouble is not the repair time, it is the silence. Acknowledging a report the day it arrives and saying when someone will come buys a lot of patience.
Keep a dated record of when it was reported and what you did. In a disrepair claim that record is the case.
