What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated 27 August 2026.
This notice covers the tofta.co.uk website. The Tofta app is not out yet. When it is, it will have its own privacy notice, because it holds different things.
Who is responsible
Tofta is run by a landlord in Hampshire. For anything on this page, including any of the requests below, email design@tofta.co.uk.
What is collected
Two things, and only if you type them in yourself. Your email address, if you put it into the waiting list box and press Notify me. And whatever you write in the feedback form on the support page.
The feedback form does not ask who you are. It has a box for an email address so you can be replied to, and leaving it blank is the normal way to use it. There is no account to create, no login, and nothing else is asked for.
Why it is collected
The waiting list address is used to send you one email on the day Tofta goes on the App Store, and for nothing else. Feedback is used to fix what you have told us about, and to reply to you if you left an address.
The lawful basis is consent, which you give by typing your address in and pressing the button. You can take it back at any time by emailing the address above.
Where it goes
The waiting list form is handled by Formspree, which passes the message on as an email. Formspree is based in the United States, so your address is transferred outside the United Kingdom. Their own privacy notice is at formspree.io.
The email arrives in an inbox and the address is written down in a list. It is not passed to anyone else, and it is never sold.
How long it is kept
The waiting list address is kept until the launch email has gone out, or until you ask for it to be removed, whichever comes first. Feedback is kept while it is still worth acting on, and there is nothing attached to it that would identify you unless you chose to add it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies for visitors. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. WordPress sets cookies only for the people logged in to run the site.
Hosting
The site runs on WordPress and is hosted by SiteGround. Like any web host, their servers keep access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and for working out what has gone wrong when something does.
What you can ask for
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw your consent. Email design@tofta.co.uk and it will be done.
If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Knowing the rule is the easy half.
The hard half is remembering which of your properties is due what, and when. That is the part Tofta does.
