Getting help with Tofta
Say what is wrong below without leaving a name, or email if you would rather. Tofta is not on the App Store yet, so most of what follows describes the app you will get rather than one you already have.
What happened
Nothing was sent from the app to get you here. Whatever you write below is sent by you, from this page. A name and an email are both optional, so you can report something without saying who you are.

Tell us what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. If it is about a date being wrong, the model of iPhone and the iOS version help more than anything else.
Tofta is one person, not a support desk. You will get a real reply rather than a ticket number, and it will usually take a day or two.
The things people ask first
Where is my data kept?
On your phone. There is no account, nothing to sign up for and no copy of your properties on a server anywhere. What Tofta sends lists every place the app reaches and exactly what goes to each one.
How do I back it up?
Tofta takes a dated copy into Files under On My iPhone once a day and keeps the last ten. Those ride along in your iPhone’s own iCloud backup. Photographs are not in that file, because it would become enormous. The property file PDF carries them instead.
My reminders are not arriving.
Open the bell on the dashboard. It lists every nudge already delivered and every one still to come, taken from what iOS was actually asked for rather than what the app hoped. If the list is empty, notification permission was probably refused at some point, and the bell will offer to open iOS Settings.
Which iPhones does it work on?
iPhones running iOS 15 or later, which goes back a long way on purpose. A landlord should not need a new phone to keep track of a gas certificate.
Something in an answer looks wrong.
Please tell us. Every answer names the source it came from, and how these answers are checked explains what happens next. Getting one wrong matters more here than in most apps.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app. That removes the properties, the certificates, the photographs and the backups together, and there is nothing held anywhere else to ask us to erase. If you want the data first, make the property file PDF for each property before you go.
