Question

Do I have to provide white goods?

Answered

No. There is no requirement to supply a cooker, a fridge or a washing machine unless you have agreed to.

But if you do supply them, they become your responsibility to keep safe and working. An appliance you leave behind because it was easier than removing it is an appliance you now maintain.

Say which way round it is in the agreement and in the inventory. The common argument is about a machine nobody remembers agreeing to, which the inventory settles in one line.

Anything electrical you supply has to be safe, which is a separate duty from the fixed wiring covered by an EICR.
